Solitude Mountain Resort
Solitude has a Moonbeam day-guest base and a separate village entrance farther up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Moonbeam concentrates tickets, rentals and school services; the village has lodging and dining. Naming the base helps friends find one another before the first lift ride.

Terrain and ability at Solitude Mountain
Link and Moonbeam serve easier terrain used for learning and warm-up runs. The wider mountain includes more demanding areas such as Honeycomb Canyon. Choose routes from the current map and daily openings; canyon terrain is a separate decision from a beginner lesson.
Arrival, bases and lessons
Day guests should follow the current parking guide for Moonbeam and any reservation requirements. Rentals are on the ground floor of Moonbeam Lodge, with school check-in in the neighboring school building. The Nordic and Snowshoe Center is another destination beyond the village.

Meet at a Moonbeam landmark before equipment pickup, then choose a lodge or village break point. Check the winter shuttle between Moonbeam and the village if friends are staying in different areas, and keep a Nordic outing on its own meeting plan.
