Find people who want your kind of ski day

An ability label is a starting point. Two intermediate skiers might have very different plans: relaxed groomer laps, a lesson in the morning, or a full day exploring. SkiBuds discovery includes skill level, riding style, and availability preferences to help you narrow the conversation.

• Beginner ski buddies: look for people happy to ride easy terrain, take breaks, and build confidence at a comfortable pace.
• Intermediate partners: talk about the runs you enjoy, how quickly you like to move, and whether you want to explore or repeat familiar laps.
• Advanced and expert riders: discuss terrain preferences and expectations before meeting, rather than assuming a label means the same thing to everyone.

Profiles and filters help you discover potential partners. A match still starts with a conversation; availability preferences do not guarantee that someone is at the mountain or free that day.

From a profile to a plan

In the rebuild, use Discover to browse riders, open a profile, and send a friend request. Use private or group chat to agree on a resort, date, meeting point, and first run. Mountain and city conversations give you another way to meet people around the places you ride.

A useful first message is specific:

“I'm planning a Saturday at the resort, mostly blue groomers at a relaxed pace. Want to meet by the base map at 9 and try a few laps?”

Once you have a crew, agree on where to regroup and what happens if someone wants to stop early. Opt-in friend locations on the mountain map can help you find each other when permission and a connection are available.

Skiing and snowboarding together

Find ski friends while the app is being rebuilt

You do not have to wait for an app launch to start meeting people. Local ski clubs, resort social groups, lessons, and friends of friends are useful places to begin. Be clear about the mountain, date, and runs you want to ride, then suggest a public meeting point.
