Winterplace Ski Resort
Winterplace sits near Interstate 77 between Beckley and Bluefield. Its learning area and Resort Center support a ski or snowboard day, while tubing uses the Mountain House beside the tubing park, a separate meeting destination within the resort.

Terrain and ability at Winterplace
First-timer instruction starts in a specially designed learning area with carpet lifts before students progress to suitable green trails. SkiWee and Snow Explorers use a private children's area by the Resort Center. Terrain-park sessions are a separate progression choice for riders already comfortable controlling speed.
Arrival, bases and lessons
Use the official Ghent address and signed approach from I-77 Exit 28. Children's lesson check-in is at the candy-cane SkiWee and Snow Explorers building. Tubing tickets are collected at the Mountain House and are separate from ski-slope lift passes.
Plan a Winterplace meetup
For skiing, choose a named public Resort Center landmark and leave time for equipment and lesson check-in. Friends who are tubing need the Mountain House location and their own session booking. Agree where everyone will reunite rather than assuming a single ticket or lodge covers both activities.
