Loveland Ski Area
Loveland Ski Area has two separate bases near the Continental Divide: Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley. Basin contains most of the mountain's varied terrain, while Valley is designed for beginners and houses the Ski & Ride School. They are not interchangeable arrival points.

Terrain and ability at Loveland
Valley offers gentle slopes and its own learning lifts. Basin adds groomers, bowls, moguls, glades and challenging ridge terrain. A Valley learning ticket has a different scope from wider mountain access, so check your product before joining friends whose plan starts at Basin.
Arrival, bases and lessons
Access is from Interstate 70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel. Use the correct base's rental shop and lesson instructions. The resort operates a shuttle between Basin and Valley during normal operations; check the current schedule and each area's season before relying on that connection.
Plan a meetup at Loveland
Write Basin or Valley in the invitation, including the rental or school landmark. For first-timers, meet at Valley and arrange a later reunion if others ski Basin. Allow for the shuttle journey and equipment collection rather than timing the meetup solely from highway arrival.
