Mt. Baldy Ski Lifts
California's Mt. Baldy resort is organized around a chairlift ascent from the parking area to Top of the Notch. The restaurant and upper recreation area are on the mountain, so meeting at the Notch requires more planning than meeting beside a parking lot.

Terrain and ability at Mt. Baldy
The official trail map places the learning center and Beginners Gulch near Top of the Notch. Chairs 3 and 4 serve additional upper-mountain terrain, while the map marks steep runs beneath the Notch. A beginner group should not assume every route leads easily back to parking.
Arrival, bases and lessons
Check the mountain report, lift access and lesson instructions before taking Chair 1 to the Notch. Allow time for the chairlift journey and rental fitting. Confirm whether the booked product covers skiing, lessons or only scenic access.
Plan a meetup at Mt. Baldy
Specify either the lower chairlift entrance or a landmark at Top of the Notch, and make sure everyone has suitable access. Use the upper restaurant area for a planned break, with a clear return arrangement based on the day's lift operations.
