Mt. Baker Ski Area has two day-lodge bases: Heather Meadows and White Salmon. This North Cascades destination is reached on State Route 542; the resort's Bellingham business office is not the place to meet for a day on the slopes.

Terrain and ability at Mt. Baker
Heather Meadows has a handle-tow learning zone. The Sticks feature area sits near Chairs 3 and 4, between Big Creek and Sneaky Pete. Check current terrain openings and lesson-ticket restrictions before pairing first-time riders with friends exploring the larger mountain.
Arrival, bases and lessons
Choose Heather Meadows or White Salmon before departure and check the mountain's directions plus Washington road conditions. The resort lists basic rentals at Heather Meadows when both bases operate, so confirm the service location rather than choosing parking solely by convenience.
Plan a meetup at Mt. Baker
Name the day lodge and an outdoor landmark in the plan. A Heather Meadows lesson group can meet before equipment pickup and regroup at that same lodge afterward; friends arriving at White Salmon should coordinate a clear time and location separately.
